On 09 of July Jolien and David got married in Belgium. We had our first talk a bit less than one year before the wedding in Belgium. My neighbor introduced us and we talked a lot that day. It was a really nice conversation about the expectations of their wedding day.

The day after I got a message saying that they wanted me to take the pictures of their wedding. Happy me! 🙂

So the day arrived and the sun was shining. Something unsure in Belgium, even when it’s summer.

The tension grew when it was just about timing for the groom to show up at their place (tradition in Belgium). Jolien was anxious about it. Really looking forward to and getting nervous.

Once he rang the door and she opened, they immediately started to cry. I realized that 09/07 would be an emotional day.

And so it was.

During the ceremony the guests were crying, the couple was crying and the photographer was taking pictures and… crying. But that was behind the cameras 😉

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We went to the reception and after some time we started the couple pictures. The couple looked so nice and so in love with each other that even if the weather weren’t great it wouldn’t be a problem at all. My mission is to capture love and love was there to be captured. Outdoor places, gardens, green, a path. Was enough. Was beautiful.

The party of a wedding in Belgium normally starts after the dinner. It wasn’t different here. But before they could break on the dancefloor some friends prepared some pictures to show on a screen and they made all the guests (and the couple, of course) laugh. Ice broken, is time to dance. 3, 2, 1 and open the dancefloor.

Family and friends joined them… So it was really a party!
